What to expect for your first session…
In the first session, Dr. Chavis will ask you some questions about your current struggles and what brings you to therapy at this time in your life. Dr. Chavis will also ask about some of your history so she can have a more holistic picture of your life. At the end of the session, Dr. Chavis will work collaboratively with you to figure out therapy treatment goals including what interventions she thinks will be the most effective in your work together. Dr. Chavis will also give you time to ask her any questions about her training, education, and treatment interventions that she prefers to use.
